Danielle Creations embraces a fair, safe and responsible approach to procuring and delivering goods and services. We are committed to ensuring that there is no modern slavery or human trafficking in our supply chains or in any part of our business.

Danielle Creations is part of the upper Canada Group

We ask all our suppliers to adhere to a standard set of principles, which are detailed in this code as follows:

 

  1. Governance and General Compliance
  2. Workplace Relations
  3. Occupational Health & Safety
  4. Ethical Business Practices
  5. Environmental Management

 

We consider the social and environmental impact of all our purchasing decisions and we validate supplier compliance against a framework that considers local conditions and cultures, local legal frameworks and respects the national sovereignty of host governments.

We proactively manage the implementation of this code through:

-              Analysing risk, opportunities and impacts of the code on our supply chain

-              Undertaking ongoing training and awareness programs to ensure all our employees are aware of the code and its implications for our suppliers

-              Engaging with, and communicating the requirements of our code and related policies to our suppliers on an ongoing basis

-              Implementing an assurance program to review our material and major suppliers for their ability to comply with this code.

 

Danielle Creations Ltd does not directly purchase raw materials for products it sells.

Danielle Creations Ltd, and manufacturers of products manufactured for Danielle Creations Ltd, are removed from the marketplace that produce material by many tiers in the supply chain.

As a downstream distributor of products that may contain use unethical practices, Danielle Creations Ltd is taking the following steps to comply with the ethical and slavery practices. Limiting the manufactures used where high-risk materials are incorporated in the manufacture of their product.

  1. Educating the manufactures in the risks associated with slavery and human trafficking
  2. Obtain assessments from their manufactures through questionnaires to obtain an understanding on the supplier’s ability to meet the Ethical trading initiative base code and if further actions are required.
  3. Where concerns are raised take a positive approach to correcting the situation or if that is not possible seek alternative acceptable suppliers.

We at Danielle Creations are committed to reviewing of the effectiveness of the steps we have taken to ensure that here is no slavery or human trafficking in our supply chains we intend to take the following further steps to combat slavery and human trafficking:

  1. Annual review of our supply base.
  2. Ensuring the development of existing suppliers
  3. Monitoring
